Thunderhead Brewing - Kearney

Truly excellent bar food. The pizzas are definitely the highlight. With thin, wood-fired crusts, it's easy to share a large pizza between two people.

This taphouse has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Unlike some establishments that make you feel silly for thinking IPAs taste like cleaning products, Thunderhead is not one of them. The bartender was extremely helpful to my friend, even though he couldn't tell the difference between a hefeweizen and a porter, and patiently answered all my questions. We didn’t try the pizza since we had other commitments, but it looked amazing, and if we had another day in Kearney, we definitely would have made plans to enjoy it.

Fantastic beer and delicious pizza! The service was average, however. The bartender accidentally overlooked my pizza order, but that was understandable given how busy the place was! If you're in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by for some local brews or pizza.

A cool little vintage brewery. It could use some updating but the beer was superb and that's what matters. I don't even remember what we ordered but it was good. I would certainly come here again if I am ever in the area.

Pretty solid Brewery stop, especially for Nebraska. The staff was friendly and on top of things. Pizza was okay and probably tasted better because of the amount of time we were on the road that day. Otherwise it was underwhelming. Overall a decent stop, and a better stop if you are just looking for beer.
