Simply one of the best Japanese restaurants in Hawaii, as well as the U.S. Old school, traditional, homey and family oriented spot. Their tempura shrimp is PERFECT! : Traditional Japanese comfort food heaven!!!

Very good shrimp tempura! Miso soup is good! Everything on the menu is good and so is the prices.

We were recommended this restaurant by a local for breakfast, and we were eager to try the traditional Japanese breakfast they mentioned (they also offer American breakfast). We loved it so much that we ended up having Japanese breakfast there every day of our vacation. The local vibe and relaxed atmosphere were very enjoyable, and we appreciate that the restaurant has been passed down through the family for generations. A year later, we still reminisce about our experience, and we're excited to return. We've heard their dinner menu is excellent as well, so we might try that on our next visit.

Love the food and love the staff, they always make your dining experience amazing.

This place is AWESOME! We have eaten there 3 times. The one of the best restaurants on the Big Island.
