For vegetarians, I really recommend the Radharane : paneer cheese in cream and tomato sauce. I haven 't seen this combination anywhere else and I really loved it. Most dishes contain paneer, but can also be prepared vegan on request.
Tricky, vegan options to find in kaunas, so this was a nice sound. very reasonable prices. easy eating without a fuss. enjoyed the soy steaks, and the ingwerdrink was very delicious. with other vegetarian and regular carnivores enjoy all.
The interior is nice, but the place does not have that many options for vegans. Vegan meals are not marked on the menu, so you have to ask about the ingredients. When I was there, the waitress said (with a sign of doubt in her voice) that what I wanted to order was vegan, as it only has some butter . It can be very very annoying to ask every time. The rice they serve is not vegan, you have to ask for boiled potatoes instead. Their cakes are not vegan, either. However, the place is centrally located and is open every day while a lot of other veg places in Kaunas have unpredictable opening hours. Very popular with locals. This restaurant is more vegetarian, but there are three or four dishes that can be made vegan. Samosas since recently are also vegan there. It is too bad they but ghee in rice so you have to as for potatoes instead. Despite all of the difficulties in finding a dish, the portions are large and can satisfy even the emptiest stomach. So if you are very hungry definately go there but be aware of the stuff they put into everything.
