Little Chicago - Kaukauna

We have dined here several times, primarily for Sunday brunch, which is usually quite good. However, our recent dinner experiences have been disappointing. Last Saturday night, I ordered scallops, and they were the most bland and chewy I've ever encountered. To make matters worse, I discovered a piece of metal in my pickled beets. The waitress only responded with a casual "oops, sorry about that." Given how much she smelled like smoke, I suspect she was more interested in taking a break for a cigarette than in providing good service. I'm starting to wonder if the owners are letting quality slip, as their other restaurant, Lake Park Pub—which typically has an outstanding Friday fish fry—was also lacking during our last visit. But that's a separate issue.

This restaurant is fantastic for Friday fish, Saturday prime rib, and an outstanding Sunday brunch! The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, and the prices for all their options are quite reasonable. The dining area is spacious, so even though it may seem crowded with all the cars in the parking lot, there's plenty of space inside. Today, a large crowd arrived around 11:00 AM, right after church let out. I've previously reviewed their Friday fish, but now I'm focusing on the Sunday brunch. Classic Wisconsin supper club atmosphere. Great wine pours. Love this place. Wonderful homemade bread. Great onion rings. They just bring it!

First of all don 't trust the prices posted on their website. 3 of us ordered the tenderloin expecting $18.95 and were charged $21.95. The douchey owner continued to argue with us that prices are subject to change and then kept repeating that his website guy was busy and takes a month to update prices. Well then don 't put prices on your damn website if they have NO MEANING! 7 8 oz steaks were TINY and they were burnt and black so all you could taste was charred meat. Would be zero stars but gets the one star only because they finally adjusted the bill to match their website (after he stood there making a scene in front of everybody and arguing for 5 minutes). Will never be back.

This was the second time my husband and I ate at Little Chicago. Both times were wonderful! Tonight my husband had their Icelandic Fried Haddock, I had the 14 oz prime rib. Both meals including the soup and salad bar were outstanding! Our waitress was also amazing! Good food, good service, and good prices! You can't miss!!
