Choys Negombo - Katunayaka

The tuk tuk guy recommended this place for lunch and from the outside it looked just the job. Inside however, the two best tables in the window were reserved and not used during the 90 mins we were there, so we sat in the semi darkness of the main room. Menu was fine, lunchtime specials were not mentioned till after we had ordered. Drinks were quite slow in coming, and one was the wrong one, then another wait. When it arrived the food looked amazing but there was way too much for two. We ordered two soups, to be followed by special house noodles, spicy prawns and steamed rice. Plenty enough for four, and it was tasty. At the end I went to pay at the counter where the snooty woman decided to guess my PIN, entered it incorrectly three times rendering the card unusable.The snooty woman instead of apologizing decided to take the line "so you have no other means to pay, approach as attack is always the best form of defense! I paid using an alternative card. No thanks, no apology, just a reciept. I went to the toilet only to find the urinal was broken and three or four dead cockroaches in the corridor.safe to say I won 't be back. There are better/friendlier places to patronise

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for a meal, but we found a hair in the rice. When we brought it to the manager's attention, they replaced the dish with a new one. We have dined at this establishment frequently in the past. However, when we requested some chili paste, they declined to provide it. Despite paying a decent amount for our meal, they refused to offer a common condiment that is typically given for free in Sri Lanka. The staff made us feel as though we were begging for something rather than being valued customers. Very disappointing experience!!!

Food taste good but they have increased the prices and reduce the quantity. I ordered the food on the 25th December the 11 in the morning went to collect by 12 was not ready but inform me it will be ready within half hour and I asked them whether they could call me once its ready but they said they cant but for me come and collect in half hour. To my disappointment i went there after 1 hour still the found was not ready. This was pathetic as they have taken orders more then their capacity. Finally I got my food at 2.45 pm. Totally disappointed with the service.

It was great welcome by restaurant staff, and my core team was very impressed with the hospitality. Food also good.

The amazing place with tasty food varieties, highly recommended for families. We will definitely come back again.
