I went tonight with the expectation that I would be able to order four different things, as indicated by their menu. While this turned out to be true, the menu said that vegan options were available about what was specifically listed. I asked, and was offered a filled pancake with mais (so it was described) when it arrived, two large roasted eggs were inside, and when I asked why they were there, the server said that they believed that vegan eggs were eating. I think this asked her entire vegan menu, and while I couldn't convince the worker that vegans don't eat eggs, she didn't charge me for the dish.
Staff were friendly and vegan items were clearly marked on the menu, that’s about all the positives of this place. We ordered the vegan vegetable noodles and the vegan dumplings, both were pretty basic and flavourless. Eftpos wasn’t working so had to go and get cash out, always annoying. And I’m not sure what is going on with their menus but some menus in store, and also judging by some pictures on happy cow, have price discrepancies where they have placed stickers over the prices of some dishes increasing the price. I would be careful which menu you use and check your price! I won’t be rushing back here.
The menu has lots of clearly labelled vegan options, which is great. The best dish was the handmade noodle soup and the vegan Momo’s. However, we sadly had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes before we got any food. They brought everything together, rather than bringing dishes as they were ready. Even our chai took 30 minutes! Hopefully it was just a busy night for them would probably try it again when it’s less busy.
Simple but excellent cooking! A lot of vegan options too which were clearly labelled on the menu. Outstanding service too.
