Greco's Fish & Chips - Katoomba

What a fantastic Fish and chip shop with incredible burgers service and tasty food.Obviously it's fish and chips so don't expect 5 stars its traditional greasy and delightful!!!Potato scallops and chips are great, really reasonably priced and very generous portions.Thank you we will be back!

Fast and ok. Not great but it was edible. The calamari was the best pf the selection i had. I did not try the chips.

The meal was delicious and filling. The atmosphere welcoming. Customer service could use some improvement though

We arrived in Katoomba famished and needed a quick fix for lunch. As we had burgers in mind this seemed to be the only place in Katoomba's main street that fit the criteria. We were able to find seating inside (warm and not windy!), had our meals reasonably quickly as we just got in before the rush, but when the staff member delivered our burgers they just tumbled out of her arms onto the table. Lucky they were resilient burgers!Size of the Burger with the Lot was very generous and the pricing for 4 burgers and chips was very reasonable (we would have paid $15 more for all this in Sydney). Certainly hit the burger spot.

Sometimes you'll order a burger and chips/scallops and everything is just great.Other times EVERYTHING is bad. There seems to be no in between. If your scallops are burnt to a cinder (even to the point of the thin slice of potato buried within turning hard) then you know your burger bun will be heat-blasted and the meat dry. Sometimes the vegie burgers smell and taste of fish... probably cooked in same oil but its not pleasant. If you want to take a chance, sometimes you get good service and great food at reasonable prices. It all depends on who is working, and if you're not a local you probably won't have that knowledge.
