Bakgaarden - Karlstad

The vegan pizzas at Bakgården are absolutely delightful. It's wonderful to see more places offering Bianco and Rosso options. The crust is thin, just like traditional Neapolitan pizzas. I unfortunately missed the film quiz, but enjoyed the art exhibition. I imagine this place gets packed in the summer. Bakgården delivers! It's fun to dine in an old brick building. The concept is simple - delicious vegan pizzas made from scratch. No more bland vegan cheese here. It's conveniently located, just a 7-minute bus ride from Stortorget followed by a short walk. Plant-based eating is on the rise in Sweden, and it's great to see.

This cozy restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, but it's definitely worth the walk from the city center! The atmosphere is welcoming and feels like you're dining in someone's home. It can get crowded on Saturday nights, so be sure to make a reservation if you plan on going during peak hours. Just a heads up, the cheese is made from cashew nuts, so be cautious if you have any allergies.

The pizzas at this restaurant are delicious. We tried the Fresh Prince, the Oh Yeah, and finished with the cinnamon pizza for dessert. I enjoyed all of them, especially the dessert pizza. I would recommend saving room for it as it was the most unique and surprising dish. The combination of salty crust with sweet toppings may sound strange, but it actually works really well.

The pizzas at this restaurant are beautiful! The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. I highly recommend it!

It was wonderful to have the option of vegan pizzas, each with their own unique flavors. We were too full to try the dessert pizza, but they all looked delicious.
