Max - Resto, Bar, Garden - Karlsruhe

We went there for breakfast and left with a big smile on the face. It had a cozy atmosphere, the food was well presented and tasted amazingly fresh. Adding to the great breakfast, the staff were very friendly.

A friend recommended this place, and I must admit that the location itself, close to the shopping area, but at the same time away from the noise, is simply magic: an old palace garden. Inside, all is very neat and spacious. I wanted something vegan and they had a very colourful salad: ingredients, seasoning, and composition were simply excellent.

The main advantage is location. It is situated in a beautiful venue and the inside garden (patio?) is absolutely great - quiet, green, shadowed. Cool atmosphere. The only problems are: service and coffee quality. You usually wait for the menu FOR AGES. I mean it. AGES. Then the coffee. It is OK, but I'd expect something more. Still, the patio is superb.

We were here today because we saw 2 dishes on the Internet on the weekly map: Allgäuer Spätzle and fried Dorade. When we came, we learned that Latezle costs 10.40 instead of 8.90 (as on the side of the restaurant) and Dorade has not been there since yesterday. Also I find very bad if you get a big beer instead of a small one when the waitress is said extra. I must admit that the foods do not compensate for the first good impression. Spätzle and Max-Bowl with Falafel were very good, delicious and fresh. Nevertheless, the restaurant gets a point deduction from me.

I ordered yesterday there, really the best I ordered last week with the delivery service, fast, fresh and very cool!!! 5 stars really recommended
