Lidová Jídelna - Karlin

I was just walking and watching the nearby places and markets when I spotted a huge queue. So I wondered that this place must be good and I was hungry too. So I decided to walk in. Now, there is a huge time you have to spent to get in but it is worth waiting. This place is affordable and serves great food. I went there a long time ago. Being unaware of the language and what to order I asked some of the other guests to help me out. They did and they did it well. I honestly DO NOT know what they ordered because of language issue and some other reasons(what happens in Prague stays in Prague, right? but they food was delicious. I tried a soup and it was good. Salads and sweets were also good. If anyday I went back to Prague I would definitely visit this place. The bad thing there was that I felt the staff is a little rude, maybe it is just me or the culture but I can not be definite on this point. Secondly the service was slow. I was hungry and starving because of the waiting and it took a lot of time to get my food. Likes: Value for Money, Connectivity, Taste Dislikes: Ambi, Slow Service

If you're on a tight budget there's nowhere better in Prague. Seriously good food at exceptional prices. Please be warned that there is a queue outside and you will be sharing a table inside, which is not to everybody's taste.

For sure the best place for lunch in Prague! I came here for the first time and there were a long queue waiting outside, at 13:30! There are a lot of food selections and they all look/taste really tasty : The price is super low, two people with soup, main dishes and salad spent less than 200 czk in total. I can say it is not common in Prague. And the place is clean and neat, not like a cheap restaurant at all. Just come here once and you will know its charms :D

Výběr je všehchuť, ať jde o masožravce, vegetariány či slaďouše. Pouze vegani mají (a to je dobře) velkou smůlu. Člověk je všežravec, vegan je slepá větev evoluce

Výborná jídelna na úrovni závodního stravování. Levná a dostupná jídla. Před provozovnou se tvoří fronty, ale výděj jídla je rychlý. Časté obměny jídelníčku. Občas se jim nepovede dovařit rýži. Kachna a další speciality jsou skvělé.
