Barnley's Guest House - Kapenguria

My stay with Dick Barnley as the host was fantastic. The experience felt like a home away from home; his charming residence is cozy and warm, especially with an evening fire in the living room. Both breakfast and dinner were delightful, served with attention and care. Enjoying tea in the early morning while watching Colobus monkeys in the beautifully maintained gardens was a true highlight! If you find yourself in the Kitale area, make sure to stay at least one night—you won’t regret it.

We had a fantastic experience during our stay. The location offers rooms in a guest house, along with separate cabins and even tents. The property is well-maintained, featuring beautiful landscaping and clean, well-furnished accommodations. The owner reached out to us prior to our visit to inquire about our food preferences. We thoroughly enjoyed both the meals and our overall stay. The property is situated just a few kilometers northeast of Kitale, Kenya.

Simply exquisite. The combination of natural elements and vintage furniture creates an invaluable experience.

A friendly welcome at this home away from home set in green gardens with birdsong on awaking: we returned to enjoy the company of our hosts and relax before setting off for further exploration of Kenya.
