Fass-Beiz - Kanton Schaffhausen

Went to Fassbeiz already a couple of times for lunch, last time early January 2023. Great service, great value for money and nice portions for lunch. I love that you get a salad as a starter as part of the menu.

Excellent food and good selection of beer and wine. The little chips pommes frites were fabulous as was the deep fried pieces of smoked trout......Yum

It is not a luxury restaurant, but it will be here if you come to this castle town. I think it is because there is a honest atmosphere and a 素ine, but it is delicious food, and it is liked by locals. There is only a small signboard of Beiz [Izakaya in Switzerland, Pub] on the main street. Chuchi, Caffe, Bar and dialects are written in description (in Japanese) Cuisine, Coffee, Bar). The restaurant itself is in the courtyard behind Webergasse. There are many locals reading newspapers and reading books. What young groups are talking about The menu includes a Swiss-style dish and a club sandwich. Coffee is the same as the top of the Itariya style. There is also a private room where you can go up the spiral ircase. The lunch set includes Coq O Vin rouge, Schweins-Braten Mito Kartoffelgratin, Fischragout, and Truthahn-Saltimbocca Mito Mascarpone-Polenta.

Loved the salmon with its tasty white wine mousse. You can really taste how the dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients and a lot of love. The staff is always lovely and remembers your orders. I always love coming back to this homey place
