This place is what a tasteless person thinks is an upscale restaurant. Food okay, but not great. Some odd plating choices. 4X markup on wines.

Horrible experience here. The new management is wicked. The server apologized on behalf of the manager. As a COVID nurse during the pandemic, I have seen people at their worst. I have never had someone talk down to me like the managers owner in my life. Why? Because we brought in an outside cake. Our server was aware we brought the cake and didn’t say anything. ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANTS IN JOHNSON COUNTY!!! Had an amazing brunch. Crab and salmon Benedict was great. Excellent cinnamon rolls. (Cinnamon roll aficionado here..best in KC! great atmosphere in a beautiful historical castle. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back!

Went for dinner, food was amazing. Service was great, owner was very personable. Definitely will be making a return visit!

Very friendly staff and wonderful food! Charming historical building. Don't forgot the skillet cookie with ice cream.
