King House - Kansas

This is my family's “go-to” option for Chinese take out in the Fort Leavenworth area. We love the service, portion size, and taste of the food. This place is great. We also appreciate their COVID mitigation practices, like their drive through window and their employees wearing gloves and masks.

The egg soup is orange and doesn’t taste like it has a chicken base, not sure what it is. The “fried rice” is not fried, it is just plain rice with soy sauce poured over it and mixed together, there are no vegetables in it at all! My sweet and sour chicken had no sauce on it, and my order came with no sauce. Had to call them and drive all the way back to have them hand me a replacement sauce to eat with my now cold chicken! A Christmas Tradition. Usually we order for pickup. So quick and always served hot. Friendly staff. They do have a drive thru from the alley way around the back!

Order was really late. We had to come back twice. The second time we sat at the drive thru window for 10—15 minutes before they acknowledged us. They give instructions to call for assistance and they don’t answer the phone. There is also no way to cancel the order.
