I love the bread and coffee here. However, they are typically out of multiple items. And the menu is small.

Truly the flakiest and buttery-ist croissant I’ve ever tasted

My coffee was strong, and my pain au chocolat was fantastic, as was my wife's lemon cream croissant. The cinnamon thing I got my son was okay, but not as good as a proper cinnamon roll. I would definitely come back if I'm in Lawrence again.

Definitely the pastries and croissants were worth the drive from Overland Park. I don't recall having a better pastry outside of France than the ones we got at 1900 Barker. We intended to get some to take home with us but everything we purchased was consumed in ten minutes. I can't give this place give stars though because the service was very unenthusiastic. I wanted to walk away with absolutely every single item… but didn’t I was able to try their ham and cheese croissant (best I’ve ever had especially warmed up) and a chocolate Nutella cookie. This place is a gem! Wish I lived closer!
