Town Topic - Kansas City

There's a reason this place has been around since 1937. It's not due to flashy decor or an unusual menu. It's not because of the cozy, readily available seating either. It's simply because they serve excellent, hearty diner food, prepared by genuinely great people, just the way our ancestors would have wanted it!

This spot truly embodies classic Kansas City. While the decor may not be impressive, the food is surprisingly delicious, particularly the burgers and shakes. In fact, the shakes might be the best I've ever tasted. My only downside is that it feels a bit pricey for what you receive. Our lunch for two came to $30 after tip, which seems a bit steep for a place like this, at least in my view. Nonetheless, we’ll definitely be returning!

I came across this historic burger joint online, and my family and I decided to stop by before heading to watch the Royals play! We were absolutely delighted with our choice. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere felt like stepping back in time! If you decide to give this place a try, you must order a malt—they're fantastic! We will definitely be returning! The waitresses were incredibly friendly; ours even showed my son how to enjoy his root beer float by feeding it to him. He loved it!

In town for a wedding and stumbled onto this 'Kelvinator ' classic joint. Did the breakfast 'Haystack ' samich and was fully filled. Quick and fast service with a very friendly staff. Do yourself a flavor and eat here as soon as you can!

Fun little old school diner restaurant. The building is old and it has the dated look to it, but the inside is clean and well-maintained. The party melt I had was very good and the staff were very nice. I will definitely be back to try a shake and the breakfast menu.
