The Pressed Penny Tavern - Kansas City

What a delightful hidden gem! We celebrated a birthday here last weekend, and Tiffany was fantastic in helping us organize everything. When we arrived, everything was perfectly set up for our group of 16, and our waitress, Bailey, was incredibly kind and attentive to our needs. The bartender was friendly and made sure our mimosa carafes were always full. Everyone enjoyed the food as well. I ordered a skillet with added steak, and we only needed one pancake for the kids since it was so large. I also tried their delicious Brussels sprouts. I'm sure some, if not all of us, will be back. Thank you, everyone!

The food was decent in a cozy local tavern atmosphere. My fiancé ordered the patty melt and couldn't stop raving about it, while I tried the lion's mane bolognese and found it disappointing. Overall, I would rate the food a 3 out of 5.

Five stars across the board! The service is outstanding, and the food is among the best I've ever tasted—the chef is truly a genius. I found it hard to eat anywhere else because I couldn't resist the cocktails and dishes. My husband and I tried most of the menu, and we were not disappointed once! The Havarti sticks were amazing, and the stuffed mushrooms were phenomenal. My husband couldn’t stop raving about the chicken-fried chicken! When we returned for brunch, we were completely impressed. While the atmosphere isn't fancy, the food and cocktails are absolutely top-notch! This was the highlight of our trip, so do yourself a favor and come experience this gem! And definitely order the MEGA PINT of Bloody Mary—it’s topped with the works and is hands down the best one I've ever had!

Had a lovely birthday dinner! Chicken wings with dry rub are amazing! The only way to make the strip steak better is a side of noodles to soak up the delicious cream cheese sauce. You won’t be disappointed dining here!!!Food: 5/5

The Pressed Penny was fabulous. We stopped here for a couple drinks in the afternoon and the drink options were vast. The whiskey menu is huge and the mixed drinks were different from the usual. Will absolutely go back.Food: 5/5
