Our first time and it won’t be the last. Great food and service! Loved it!
We ate with friends prior to the show (Oklahoma) at MTH. We had made reservations but intended to enjoy Happy Hour prior to dining. Surprise!! They no longer offer Happy Hour on the weekends. We were led to our table, a nice one by the window. We had two orders of salmon and two orders of their filet (bistecca). The couple with us ordered the meatball hors d'oeuvre and I ordered the calamari. I asked for the calamari sauteed but it was already breaded so I got the fried. In summary the service was outstanding with the waiter asking (it had never occurred to us before) if anyone at the table was allergic to peanuts because peanuts products were used in some of our orders. Outstanding!! The waiter was superb in every way. Our orders were cooked to perfection and were delicious with one exception: the calamari was so salty it was almost unpalatable! The remainder of the meals were fantastic. We had ordered wine with the meal and it was presented in the correct fashion. We have been there several times and will certainly continue to go back.
Main dining room was flooded due to rain so all diners crammed in a private dining area, very congested and noisy. others seemed to enjoy their food, but my pasta carbonara was so dry it was inedible. i did not send it back because that would have delayed everyone else. But fine dining within Crown Center is limited, and this had covered parking.
I hate leaving poor reviews but this restaurant for the price really fails. It has reservation system via Open Table which is great for people who are usually accustomed to fine dinning, however the food is greasy and unappealing. I ordered a burrata appetizer and pasta dish with pesto and shrimp. The burrata was not served in the traditional ball but split open and spread over the bread like a pizza with the Brussel sprouts covering the cheese. This led to a weird flavor combination in the mouth with the bitter taste of the Brussel sprouts masking the flavor of the cheese. The pasta was coated in pesto instead of a nice small amount to be mixed in by the patron. This meant the dish was very oily and unpalatable. Plus there were only 4 mini shrimp in the dish. I didn’t even bother with a desert, with the entree 26$ and the appetizer 12 and both disappointing, I wouldn’t recommend this spot to anyone looking for fine Italian dinning.
