Meshuggah Bagels Midtown - Kansas City

I lived in NYC for 3 years and this is the closest I've come to a NY bagel here in KC! They are so good I find myself ordering at least 1-2 times a week. The staff is also amazing and super friendly! Great experience all around.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. Its close proximity to my apartment makes it really convenient for me to visit regularly, usually stopping by a few times a week. My go-to order is the Rye with the Vegan Plain Spread, which is absolutely delicious. The staff is also amazing - I love that they remember my name and order. It's the little details like that which make the experience even better!

This is really the only place I go for bagels in KC. Adore. I think sometimes they’ve been better than other times (more chewy, less difficult to bite off), but I’ve never been unhappy. They were slammed on Mother’s Day I’d probably avoid on special occasions. It’s a small joint, so they’re not really set up to handle that volume. I always just get a bagel with shmear and I’m thrilled.Tbh the parking lot is kind of my nightmare you can usually park on the street or just around the corner.

During our weekend trip to Kansas City, my husband, daughter, and I stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. We found it by chance and ended up going back two days in a row because we loved it so much. The bagels here are absolutely amazing, especially the everything bagel. It has the perfect combination of chewiness and flavor, and the shmear is delicious. My husband tried the vegan shmear and was impressed. The atmosphere is cozy and has a rustic feel, as it's located in an old converted house. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.

Big props for this place having bialys which is a tough find in the Midwest. Service was fast and the bagels were big, warm, airy and cheap!
