Granite City Food Brewery - Kansas City

We went today for their so-called All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry Friday. I had my usual chicken asparagus linguine but my husband and my 13-yr-old son both ordered the fish and fries. They both got 2 pcs of fried fish with a small amount of fries on their first plate. On their 2nd refill, which was on a much smaller/snack plate, they each got a small piece of fish. Both of them had to ask for more fish and every time the waitress would come back, after about 5 minutes, to bring just ONE small piece of fish. It was such a mediocre all-you-can eat fish fry deal. They obviously wanted to limit the fish consumption. Our waitress wasn't very attentive and I had to remind her a couple of times to get us straws and water.

The millionaire bacon burger is amazing! I customized mine by omitting the bun and adding an extra patty, extra bacon, and extra cheese. It was cooked perfectly to my liking and served piping hot and beautifully presented. The sweet potato fries were a great side dish. The service was excellent, and this restaurant even offers diet Dr Pepper. You must try this bacon if you haven't already!

Well that was probably the WORST chicken Alfredo I’ve ever had, the pasta sauce was literally like just water on the noodles, it had no taste at all. I did have it doordashed but even though it’s cold I can’t hold the restaurant accountable for that but I can hold them accountable for the terrible quality of this pasta. I USUALLY love GC but this was the worst disappointment I’ve had.

It can be difficult to find a Sunday brunch in today's COVID world, but we were lucky to have an amazing server named Anna who was quick and very charming. The omelette station offered a wide variety of options and the chef was delightful. The Bloody Mary was large and delicious. My only complaint (which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5) was that the prime rib was quite chewy. The flavor was excellent, but it could have been more tender. Despite this, I would still consider returning and hope that the prime rib improves.

We stopped a short bit at a Christmas shop. makaila took care of us. everything was very good.
