Banksia - Kansas City

Wonderful local gem! During my first visit, I approached the very friendly woman at the counter for recommendations, and she offered some excellent choices. I chose the Corned Beef sandwich, which came with pickled watermelon—what a combination! I’m convinced that pickled watermelon should always be a part of Reuben sandwiches. Without a doubt, this was the best Reuben I’ve ever had, and one of the finest sandwiches I've encountered overall. With 26 years in the restaurant industry, I tend to be quite particular about dining experiences. I’ll definitely return to Banksia soon to explore more of their unique offerings. Great job, Banksia! You’re doing everything right.

This was by far the best breakfast we've ever experienced! The pancakes take 20 minutes to prepare because they are made from scratch in small batches, but the wait is absolutely worth it. My wife and I shared the pancakes and the breakfast burrito, and both were incredible! The restaurant is clean, and the staff is very friendly. I can't recommend this place enough!

This is an amazing spot for breakfast! I'm a big fan of the vegetarian options available. The croissant is fantastic, and the latte—especially the caramel with almond and mocha flavors—is delicious. We parked near the library and took a nice walk to the café.

Delightful lunch! Flavorful sandwich, rich bread, and bright dressing on the salad. I will return to try the pastries! Cute shop decorated in paper cranes during my visit. How magical! Lots of seating, fast and friendly service.

Great and chill brunch spot. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a chai latte. The biscuits and gravy were a large portion and tasted amazing probably the best biscuits and gravy I've had. The chai latte also tasted great and satisfied my craving for it. Overall, great service and food to enjoy with a group of friends.
