Arthur Bryant's Barbeque - Kansas City

This location of Arthur Bryant's was HOPPING and we were lucky to get a table for 5 at lunch. Not being from KC, this was my first visit and I am told this location is the best. I tried a 2 meat combo and you get SO MUCH FOOD which is awesome. It was hard just to narrow it down to 2 meats but I knew I wouldn't be able to eat more than that and as it was, we still took food home. The meats are all delicious and sliced as you order, there are plenty of sauces to choose from though I actually preferred just the regular sauce, and the drinks are BIG. I would have to say, the turkey sandwich with extra pickles and a lemonade to drink it about my idea of heaven. LOVED IT! One word of caution: know what you want when you get to the counter to order, because they move quick and don't have much patience for stragglers (kind of like the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld).

The KC BBQ at Arthur Bryant’s is why I give this place 5 stars. I had the brisket and sliced pork combo with fries and drink. My issue is the customer service. These employees are rude and incompetent. The employees try to aggressively bribe for tips with extra food which makes customers uncomfortable. Someone should investigate this place because employees shouldn’t be giving away extra food for tips. I have been coming to Arthur Bryant’s for years and I have seen two out of the three Kansas City locations go out of business in the last 10 years. I can see why this KC BBQ business is declining. AB’s needs a new location.

Had to wait in line to get in to order so must be good. The meats were delicious. We ordered a few different things to try. 3 types of sauce each one of us liked a different one.

Old school atmosphere and ordering style. The original sauce sets them apart, best I've ever had.
