Serves your typical local Hawaii drive inn food. Got the loco moco (a must to eat it with tabasco sauce). The gravy on the loco moco was pretty bland. Also got the Char Siu Ramen combo set, which included fried rice and gyoza. The fried rice was dry and bland. The gyoza was tasty, and the broth in the ramen was surprisingly good! It took about 25 minutes to get our order (we did dine in), which I think is a long time to get this kind of food.
I was born raised in Kahalu'u ever since Ko'olau Drive Inn came to Temple Valley, it's been one of my go-to spots. A regular order is bbq cheeseburgers. A nice big patty with mayo, cheese, bbq (aka. Teri) sauce on a sesame seed bun. The burgers are tasty the addition of the sauce cheese mayo just pushes it over the top. Can't forget the fries. Crinkle fries comes in a paper bag. Perfectly crispy, tender salty every time. Another thing I order regularly is the chicken fried rice. Chicken, egg, veggies all fried perfectly. Add some sriracha you have *chef's kiss* an amazing meal. Another yummy plate is chicken broccoli with skinny noodles. You could also get it with rice or fat noodles. Very saucy tender meat with broccoli carrots that are cooked but never mushy. Their wun tun min is also so tasty. Their beef broth is so rich seasoned so well. Never too salty never bland. It's not the prettiest plate to sit down eat. But it is clean air conditioned. So many menu options including healthy choices. It's a spot you don't wanna miss when passing thru Temple Valley.
