Sala Thai - Kandy

First of all, I want to know why someone has submitted this restaurant to Happy Cow, considering that it is not a vegetarian restaurant, and we are in a city full of vegan and vegetarian places. Secondly, the food is very expensive compared to most other places in the city and the food is not so good. I went to lunch on Saturday afternoon and two foreign couples were eating there. I doubt that this place sees many Sri Lankans because of the high prices. I ordered the raw Papaya salad and the pad see ew. The Papaya salad wasn't that bad. The pad saw ew was nothing like Thai food... It came with Vermicelli instead of the wide noodles for which this court is known. It was also about 80% pasta with very little vegetables and mock meat. The taste was completely wrong, and I agree with an earlier reviewer who called this place authentic, respectful. However, the service is exceptional. You add a 10% service fee to the invoice. In my humble opinion, not worth the trip from the center of Kandy.

You know what is vegan and can be ordered various items on the menu that can be vegan. Red curry was great; good taste, really thai instead of Sri Lanka, good part. Combo menu was so-so, I wish I ordered the green curry; green beans and carrots were a bit bland, just steamed veggies. Portion was in my opinion tiny (see picture), salad was great, Curry was also good. But better order salad and curry separately

What a find! This newly opened Thai food is not only authentic, but has an excellent service. They have many vegan items on the menu and are ready to take into account the nutritional needs. The food is made fresh. It avoids a 5 star, but Happy Cow doesn't let me give as there are only to give you full vegan or vegetarian restaurant.

The place offers authentic, delicious Thai food. The food is hygienic. This place is very well held by Peter. The guy is really friendly and helpful. Very nice atmosphere with good moods. The best place for a real Thai experience.

Delicious food. If you are a Thai food lover and if you need to really tase The Thai food is a highly recommended place for your taste. Friendly staff, efficient service, cleanliness and the fantastic decorations you will even love this place more.
