Spacious room with mountain view balcony. The food and service were truly excellent!

Excellent stay. Our room was huge (especially considering it’s a 3-star hotel), very clean, and with a nice balcony with a view. Breakfast is standard but everything is of good quality, especially the homemade jam.

If I could give this hotel a million starts I would!! My husband and our families had a phenomenal stay at Hotel Blumlisalp! We came to Kandersteg to get married at Lake Oeschinensee. We had originally booked a different hotel, but they over sold their rooms leaving us without a place to stay. Hotel Blumlisalp was gracious enough to take us and our family in. They even gave us the same rate, which meant a lot as we were on a very strict budget. They even had an extra room for a last minute guest attending our wedding. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our favorite part of our stay was the friendly and knowledgeable staff Mandy Marta were our waitresses both evenings for dinner and went above and beyond to create an unforgettable experience. The owners were very hands on and were there everyday to help answer our questions and provide us excellent service as well. BUT THE BEST PART was the FOOD!!! I had one of the best meals of my life here, and later we found out that the chef is a master chef who has won several awards and is one of the owners. The hotel is a family run business and we got to meet the husband, wife, one of their sons and their dog Fin! I loved the quaint atmosphere and the familial ambience that was present inside this hotel. Overall I highly recommend staying here and experiencing what Hotel Blumlisalp has to offer. I can't wait to come back!

We stopped by here to eat, the service was perfect, fast with even an effort to communicate in French. We ate really well, a delicious fondue and very well presented fish. The place is magnificent especially when the weather is nice just after a snowfall, we finished with tea on the terrace, in the sun and we were presented with blankets for the cold, very good service once again.

Overall a decent place to stay on a budget. Rooms were big enough for 3 people, need some updating especially in the bathrooms, but overall god hotel. Has a cute little one person elevator so you don't have to walk the stairs with luggage. A little bit of a walk from the train station, but felt safe even walking at night. Not too far from the gondola station to Oeschinensee
