This restaurant has been present since 1947, and the sushi cook ishizaki masataka is the son of the greener, family of the second generation. masa has been making sushi for 50 years, all after the hostess. she speaks limited English, but is helpful to educate how to eat sushi to the uninitiated. I asked for an omakase (3000 yen for the top level) and masa was happy to commit. omakase: oishii! many tourists that came by. limited seating I've been watching that he even turned away a few people around 19 o'clock.

Slightly mixed feelings here. On the one hand all the produce was fresh and tasty. On the other it seems like a place mostly catering to tourists (nothing wrong about it though The owners are a lovely elderly couple. They have really good sake from Fukumitsu. If you're in the neighborhood it's worth stopping by for few nigiri.
