Contribuiți la feedbackWe arrived at 6:15 p.m. as instructed, to find the crew and staff setting up. At 6:40 p.m. someone came around and asked if we wanted something to drink. It was freezing cold in the restaurant the entire night. Guests were continuously closing the door, and the staff were perching th door open. At the mid point I ended up putting my winter coat on. It got so cold at one point even the waitstaff put on more clothes! The show was good (Southern Discomfort) the actors were good. The actors made an effort to speak to the audience, and overcame numerous technical challenges: mic issues, light issues, gun issues, prop and flooring problems. Note that the main enterance is at centre stage, and constantly throughout the show, unsuspecting patrons would open the door, interupting the show. The menu was mediocre, and my meal was disappointing. I ordered the Jambalaya, it included sausage in tomatoe sauce with rice. Due to a food allergy I asked if my dessert could be substituted. I was provided with approx 3 cups of freezer burnt sherbert. See note above about the restaurant being freezing cold...I completely agree with Brady B. "Watch your bill" is right! I called to make reservations and was confirmed by telephone the cost would be $70 plus tax, this included dinner and show for one. I just about had a heart attack when I saw on the bill $70 per plate, PLUS additional $25 per person for "tickets". In additioan an 18% gratuity was tacked onto the bill on both the $70 and $25. I can guarantee the food was not worth $70 per plate (no drinks included). That said, the service was most certainly not worth 18% either.Bottom line, I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.
Great show, wonderful meal. All around good experience. Loved the actors interactions and the big reveals. Definitely can't wait to see the next show!
I recently had the opportunity to attend a Murder Mystery event for the first time in a while. Unlike previous experiences that were more interactive, this one felt more like a show. The only interaction happened at the end with a short Q&A session where the audience had to guess who the murderer was. The food was decent, but some may find it overpriced for what you get. Be sure to check your bill, as gratuity is automatically added and you may end up double-tipping. Unfortunately, we felt rushed out so they could transform the venue into a nightclub, which was a bit of a letdown as we weren't ready to leave yet.
We made reservations for two couples for dinner and the show. Left there with a $237 bill. They put the show tickets and your drinks on the same bill and then add a gratuity prior to giving it to you. They added the 18% gratuity on the entire bill so which included the tickets so we had to tip for the tickets which isn't right. Also the service was terrible she forgot our order three times and her top was so low you could see down her short. It's not a night club ! The finally bill was alps shocking because the alcoholic drinks which we knew would be extra were $8 a piece which I feel was over priced. The show itself was funny and entertaining but the rest of the experience could use improvement especially the billing practices.
We went to the Eddie May "game of Bones" show at Fat Tuesday's on Saturday Feb. 28th. I have been to a few murder mystery's before including ones put on by Eddie May. This was not really a murder mystery however. There was very little interaction, it was more of a play. If you are a fan of Games of Thrones I guess it may be more interesting. We were tucked away in a corner at a very cramped table. There wasn't a place for our coats so they were all thrown on an empty table. Our view was very limited, and the cast played to the one table in front of them. My food was good but two of the people with us had cold dinners Jambalaya and white fish. When we asked for a wine list the server gave us three choices verbally. When we got the bill we were astounded to find the cost of the wine was $55.00. We had assumed an average price at a restaurant of $25-$30. When we complained to the server she just stood there and said nothing. all in all not a very good experience.
