Constance Lake Lodge Fish and Fly Inn

Most folks don't know this place even exists. The owners don't advertise but offer a beautiful spot on the lake with great well cooked food. As you enjoy your meal, you can see seaplanes landing and taking off on the lake and in the winter the activity of folks around ice huts. My favourite spot to relax and enjoy a meal and my grandkids just love to come here !

Stopped in today for lunch. Had the regular special "hamburger soup," delicious as always. This is a no muss no fuss restaurant. The staff are always friendly, the service is good, the food is always reliable standards.

This is a small restaurant at the edge of Constance Lake .We were there when the lake was iced over but it is a beautiful location and must be beautiful in the summer. It has a fairly small dining area and you can just grab a seat and order away. The staff are very friendly and very fast with your meal. It has a good selection of foods and breakfast comes with beans . The taste was superb and very clean . We will be going back agin and again . Well worth the drive

Who would have thought that you could get a meal in a fishing lodge by a lake in the Vicinity of Kanata? That's just what this small cottage retro decorated restaurant is. It makes me feel like I'm grabbing a breakfast at the cottage. Nothing gourmet or fancy about this place. Standard fare breakfast and lunch items. We go for the atmosphere, friends and location. Food is acceptable. It's hard to mess up diner style foods. I like that they serve beans with their Bacon and eggs. I wish that the breakfast potatoes were grilled and not deep fried. Prices are reasonable. I would pay for better coffee but that's just me. It would be nice to enjoy a good cup of coffee rather than the plain Jane coffee that is served. There's a nice little patio in the sun that's a great place to eat when it's warm out.

We're always looking for new places around town for breakfast or lunch by the water. For some reason this place has escaped us. We discovered it through a series of on line searches. Located just 28 minutes from Ottawa, The Constance Lake Lodge is a family run business right on the lake. It's not fancy by any means but the food and service are great. I had the Hungry Man Breakfast and my dining partner had the fish and chips. Both were substantial portions and delicious. There's a lovely patio overlooking Lake Constance. It's a haven for float planes and cottages. If you so desire, you can rent motor boats, row boats, canoes and kayaks to explore the lake. It's a lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon.
