The Pavillion - Kampsville

Open air dining. Large riverfront park like setting. Great place for kids with many items for them to play and occupy themselves. Pet friendly as well. Plenty of room to spread out for all to enjoy. Good food with a simple menu. Perfect dining option when going on a scenic drive through Calhoun County IL.

The most disappointing part was when my husband and father went to pay the bill, and the staff members at the counter ignored them and rudely closed the door in their faces. This behavior was unacceptable. Overall, we were extremely dissatisfied with our experience at this restaurant and will not be returning. As a family-owned business ourselves, we understand the importance of good customer service, and this establishment fell short in that regard.

We waited for an hour without being served any food. Then they informed us it would be another 45 minutes until we could be served, so we decided to leave.

This restaurant is fantastic. The portions of food are huge. The dishes are also incredibly delicious. The staff is very friendly.
