Contribuiți la feedbackWe were thrilled to discover this hidden gem. The staff was extremely welcoming, and the location was simply stunning. Despite being a remote resort, they did an excellent job of meeting all our needs, including offering offsales. We will definitely be returning in the future.
We stayed at the campsite for 5 days. The location is stunning with easy access to the lake. The small restaurant and bar on site are also beautiful. The service was slightly lacking as it was towards the end of the season. There is a lovely port area for boats and showers. John and Rose were fantastic hosts.
Roche Lake Resort is a fun place to go after the wonderful Kamloops rainbow trout. The system has boats, motors and housings. The road is good when the resort is open. If you love big combat fish, this is the place for you.
When we arrived for the first time in our chalet, we were satisfied with the rustic but comfortable cabins, but things took a disappointing turn when we both woke up on no water pressure. We could not wash toilets or wash hands, let alone shower or make dishes....We had planned to stay for 5 nights, but after 2 nights we had to leave due to the water problem. We were told that our cabins (15A and 15B) were the last to get water and they had drained the tank to fill the pool (even if it was rainy and cold weather and the pool was not heated and nobody used it), but for $200 per night per chalet we felt that this was unacceptable. We were a group of 8 adults and 4 children under 5. The staff was understanding and respectful when we decided to go. I was also disappointed that a dead fish floats in the pedal boat and that there were only 2 kayaks for rent and we did not see a canoe. The food at the restaurant was also too expensive for what it offered. We paid $5 for children Mac and cheese, which was basically a small portion of power dinner.
We hired a chalet for three nights in August. We were travelling across BC and really wanted somewhere peaceful to stay for a few nights with our children. Initially we were a little nervous as you turn of the road and travel almost 7 miles...along a track until you teach the resort. However, our worries were soon gone after we received a warm welcome and the keys to our chalet. The chalet was great plenty of room, comfy beds, kitchen, bathroom with shower and a lovely big balcony. We took food and cooked but also ate in the small restaurant too. We also went there each morning for coffee and enjoyed watching the eagles from the patio. We don't fish so I can't comment but there were little boats to hire and people on the lake fishing. The small pool was great for the kids. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, the lovely customer service from the team on reception/in the restaurant and my most favourite part was sitting and looking at the stars at night. Simply stunning. Would I recommend it? Yes I would. Will I go back? I certainly hope so next time I'm in Canada!
