Jamaican Kitchen - Kamloops

We went to the tranquille road location and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great selection and personal service. Owner came over to talk to us. We had the goat dinner and chicken roti. Big servings and nice presentation. Impressed. Perfectly seasoned. We had been to the Sahali location before. This one is more of a restaurant and will definitely return next time we are in Kamloops.

Just love the food here and the new location on the North shore is great. Really like the jerk chicken wrap with fries or soup. Friendly staff and pretty good prices. Desert is amazing we love the cheese cake. Always like to visit here or the location in Sahali.

We visited the new location in the North Shore a short time ago, and won't be returning. The server took some time getting to us so when we began ordering our food we were informed breakfast was no longer available. Which isn't a big problem, but looking for that teeny tiny font declaring so was something absurd.Instead we ordered lunch and received small portions that were over priced and barely warm. My son's grilled cheese wasn't melted and served with frozen fries. I ordered the BBQ jerk chicken with coconut rice and it came with frozen vegetables and cold rice amd kidney beans from a can. There was also no spice to it. I don't eat Jamaican cuisine often but I think it's a safe bet this wasn't up to standard. Perhaps the chef should spend less time filling water glasses and more time with his meal prep?

I had been to their previous smaller cafe several times and it was super food and service, now in their new facilities it is still excellent food and service, better parking, convenient location, looking forward to going back asap. their new location for the sit in cafe is on Tranquille rd Kamloops, the above address is mostly for take out orders and I haven't used that YET!!!.

Authentic food in a simple cafe atmosphere makes a great meal experience. If you like spicy be sure to add the hot sauce at your table. The breakfast skillet served in the morning is a definite must try. Highly recommend this local experience.
