Kroppkakan - Kalmar

One of the "must try" in Kalmar. Perfectly cooked Kroppkakan. Friendly staff, cozy and nice.

Almost the only place to get kroppkakor, a regional specialty.

They only serve one thing, and it's great! The Swedish Kroppka, with the right ingredients and tastes like the one that made my grandma earlier than I was a child. She was born and raised in Blekinge and made a similar way. They also have a vegetarian option with Vegofärs instead of pork, but you need to make it a day before so that when they begin to cook at 05:30 they know how many they should do. On a busy day they had made 700 standard kroppkakor, while 200 were booked before. They ran out at 14:00 and had to do more. It takes about an hour of reason. So if you want to be sure to get this food, come early or before book!
