However, the checkout line could benefit from better organization. On the whole, the food is outstanding and comes highly recommended. Don't miss out on trying the Jerusalem mix—it's a standout dish!
Fantastic service and incredible food! Don't hesitate—just head there and indulge in authentic cuisine!
I am appalled that they have reopened without issuing refunds for the payments made through their website during the pandemic when they were closed but continued to accept online orders for takeout. My credit card company has been disputing a charge with them for almost a year.
Having lived in various parts of the Middle East, I can confidently say that this restaurant is outstanding! The Middle Eastern cuisine here is exceptional—truly authentic and offers fantastic value for money.
ISRAEL via Eat the World Los Angeles: The Kurdish dishes feature kubbeh hamusta, known for their tangy flavor derived from fresh lemon juice and citric acid in the broth. The Kurdi kubbeh okra siske with meat ($23) might catch some off guard with its tartness; the broth's appearance may lead you to expect a different taste. However, after the initial surprise, the flavor grows on you, and before you know it, your bowl is empty, leaving you yearning for more. The standout dish, the namesake semolina dumpling, is somewhat obscured by the broth, okra, and other vegetables when served, but it quickly becomes the highlight of your meal. Its thick shell has a slightly chewy and luxurious texture—something that might provoke a chuckle in other parts of Asia—but when paired with the savory shredded beef inside, it harmonizes beautifully with the hamusta broth.
