El Torito - Kalkbaai iNingizimu Afrika

The atmosphere of this restaurant is fantastic. We enjoyed the food so much during our first visit that we returned with family for a second time. On our second visit, we started with the chicken quesadilla as an appetizer (which we also had the first time, and it was just as delicious). For the main courses, we ordered the chicken shrimp fajitas (the shrimp were incredibly flavorful, but the chicken could have used some salsa), steak fajitas (which were hit or miss in terms of cooking), carne asada (absolutely delicious), carne asada burrito (also delicious), and for dessert, we tried the deep-fried ice cream (the coating seemed a bit overcooked but was still enjoyable). I had a wonderful dinner, dessert, and drinks at my friend’s birthday celebration. The service was friendly and quick, with plenty of check-ins. The pumpkin bread pudding was amazing and even larger than it appeared in the advertised pictures.

I had a delightful breakfast at this place. I ordered the "Breakfast Combo" and substituted the bacon and sausage for avocado. My waitress, Rosie, was incredibly kind and accommodating. The price was unbeatable at $8, down from the usual $14, because I'm on their club email list. Occasionally, they send out fantastic deals like this. Rosie also mentioned that they offer valet parking on weekends.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants to visit with my family since I was a child! I was so excited to discover this location since the one near my home had closed down. I had an outstanding breakfast, and the service from the waitress was excellent. The hostess at the front was very enthusiastic as she escorted me to my table. The restaurant’s Spanish architecture truly enhances the atmosphere, reflecting the cultural roots of Mexican Spanish cuisine. I’m also fond of the designs on their plates and the vibrant colors throughout the restaurant. I will definitely be making the drive back! The flavors in the food are absolutely delicious. Their waffle batter is unique compared to other places that serve waffles. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast experience and will be returning; it really brightened my Saturday, especially since I thought the closest location was in San Diego. I’m so grateful they are still in business! In my opinion, it's simply perfection.
