So friendly and nothing to much trouble. The owner’s father bakes bread on the premises and made me fresh pitta (no dairy) to have with my hummus. They bring you fresh dips and pide as an appetiser, also helpfully pointing out which are vegan friendly. I had the vegetable casserole for main which was delicious. Really nice to eat somewhere where you don’t feel like you are being a nuisance vegan lol! So friendly and helpful. Would definitely return if we visit Kalkan again. Reasonable prices too.
Lovely food and graciousness of Abdullah, his wife and family
Incredible ! Absolutely incredible food and a very warm welcome .
Amazing authentic food shouldn't be rushed when it is cooked to order, so take a pack of cards and make an evening of it. You wont be disappointed!
We went here after we had read the other great reviews and it was excellent. the waiter was very friendly and when we explained that we were vegan, he was very happy with the explanation what was and was not vegan. for starters we ordered humus with chips. we originally tried to order humus with linseed meatballs, but after we have informed us that they did not serve the cold starters (it was in the next season, so it is understandable) he went to check with the chef and told us they would make us a fresh humus factory anyway! When the appetizers arrived, he also brought us an extra separate dish veganer pitta (we were with carnivores and they were served non-veganem brot) and was very conscientious to tell us what was and was not vegan. it was really great to be accepted and accommodated. for the net we went for the vegetarian spaghetti (which is also vegan) the whole food was absolutely delicious! the humus was raised, the chips were beautiful and soft and crispy, the brot was tasty and the spaghetti was also simply amazing. it was also a great worth (the spaghetti was 96 lira £4.90 at the time of our visit.) to it from the waiter offered us tees and coffees on the house and then out Turkish delight with a separate vegan dish for us! I enjoyed my dinner here and would definitely recommend rose for all vegan visit kalkan, they made us feel very home and eating was delicious!
