Eat Me Drink Me - Kaleen

We decided to have a spontaneous lunch and were impressed by the affordable prices and variety on the menu. As we placed our orders, we could see the beautifully plated meals coming out of the kitchen. My coffee was perfect – not bitter and at the perfect temperature. The BLAT sandwich I ordered was packed with bacon and avocado, served on tasty multigrain bread. The serving of hot chips was generous and delicious. My partner's chicken and avocado sandwich was also large and filled with chicken and avocado. Both meals were tasty and reasonably priced. The service was quick, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant had a cozy and cool vibe, making it a great spot for locals in Kaleen, Giralang, and Lawson. We can't wait to come back and try their breakfast options!

The entire cafe has a dirty and uncomfortable atmosphere. I was charged $2.50 for a baby chino, which is very expensive. I am a local and will not be returning to this restaurant.

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for several years. The food and coffee are always good, and the service is typically friendly. However, today's experience was very different. Four of us placed our orders at 12:25. One meal, a beef burger, arrived at 12:40. After waiting until 1pm, we inquired about the other three meals. It took another three minutes before we were told that the other meals (a chicken burger, veggie brekkie, and ham, cheese, and tomato toastie) would be arriving at 1:15pm. This delay was unbelievable. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with the long wait, we only received a quick apology before they walked away. The service was absolutely terrible, with no communication or upfront apology for the extreme delay. It will be a while before I consider dining there again.

I ordered a sausage roll and english breakfast tea. The sausage roll was microwaved resulting in a bit of a soggy pastry. The tea was inexcusable a cheap brand teabag in a very large pot of water resulting in very weak tea. Service was not snappy either; I noticed takeaway orders for coffee being served well before me.

Waited 45 minutes for a breakfast to arrive. Place wasn’t too busy either. Desert fridge really dirty too. Coffee was good, so would recommend for takeaway. Avoid if you’re short for time or particular about hygiene.
