Jack & Jill - Kalamunda

Well I'm so glad my daughter suggested a drive today despite the terrible weather because this little discovery was so worth it! Great food, service and lovely coffee! Plus they use A2 milk which is so much kinder to my tummy which doesn't often handle dairy too well. My daughter had the mixed mushrooms with scrambled eggs and I had the Jill's - poached eggs, spinach, asparagus, avocado, mushrooms, tomato and grilled haloumi. Delicious! We'll be heading to Kalamunda more often!

I was taken here by friends who are regulars and was not disappointed. A buzzing atmosphere with a great choice of food, well-presented and big enough to to feel full but not too much so you can't finish. I opted for the eggs benedict with pulled pork. This could've been a disaster but it was so good I'd come back just for that dish. It is difficult to find a restaurant that serves proper light hollandaise sauce (most places pour on some clunky cheesy goop) and perfectly poached eggs but Jack and Jill have it down pat. Add some tender pulled pork topped with pork crackling that has been ground up and sprinkled on top. My friends had the croque monsieur-pretty close to the real deal that you would be served up in any decent cafe in France, and the wild mushrooms on toast-simple and tasty. Althought the food is worth 5 stars, my one star off was for the staff member manning the till. Having never eated there before, I had a couple of questions about the food on the menu. His responses were curt and condecending, making me feel stupid for asking. The other wait staff, however, were friendly and polite. I would recommend the food but just don't ask any questions!

My wife and I visited this restaurant influenced by some of the reviews. Our expectations were highSadly the two lunch meals were at best average. It started poorly. We ordered two lunches and two coffees. We specifically asked that the coffees be deferred until we had eaten. But, within a few minutes of sitting down the coffees arrive. My wife is too nice and politely said that was ok. But in my opinion the waitress should have just taken them away rather looking forlornly at us hoping we would accept. Which as I mentioned my wife did. The two lunches were a quiche type slice and I had a vegetarian panini. Both were quite forgettable. Would we return......... no!

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast here with my partner. Had never been here before and will definitely return if in the area again. Had the eggs on toast with their homemade hash browns and was very pleased with the serving sizes and the quality foods that were served.Café was very busy however the staff all managed to keep up with the busy demand at all times. Highly recommend a visit to this spot for a delicious breakfast if your in the area or passing by. Café décor is very modern and enough seating for groups and also couples.

My wife and I popped in for lunch on a cold and wet Perth Sunday. Great little venue! My wife had the Tuna melt and really enjoyed it. I went for a ham and cheese croissant and some fries. We both had iced coffee's.Really good food and coffee's. great service and reasonable pricing.Will be back next time for the rather good looking breakfast menu.Recommended.
