Bilbo's Pizza - Kalamazoo

This place is my original book club—essentially any bar where I frequently drink and read. Although I’ve been coming here for longer than I’d like to admit, I still can’t help but feel a bit bitter that they moved from their previous location near campus before I turned 21. It used to be a lively party spot when it was where the Grato now is, but their new location is more convenient since I can walk home easily. Their pizza is some of the best around and has received multiple "best of" awards over the years. However, for me, the real star is the cheesy bread and dill dip. I crave it so much that I even tried to recreate a version of it at home, but it still doesn’t compare to the original! Their wings and salads are also fantastic for anyone avoiding lactose, but I’m not sure I’ve ever tried a sandwich. They offer several homebrews, but that M43 is what keeps me coming back, even though it's quite pricey. I typically sit at the bar, and the service is always quick and friendly. It seems they’ve removed the outdoor seating from the COVID era, but hopefully they’ll bring that back during the warmer months. Inside, there's plenty of seating for large groups and parties, and they have games like pool and darts, plus a jukebox for entertainment.

Bilbo's is a true gem of a restaurant in Kalamazoo! They offer mouthwatering pizzas and sandwiches, many of which are inspired by Middle Earth. Their dill dip is simply incredible and a must-try with any order!

The manager is doing an excellent job. I'm not sure how long he has been in charge, but we've noticed a significant improvement lately. Keep up the great work!

We love stopping here when we're driving by Kalamazoo. The pizza is so good. Great service too. We were in and out in 45 minutes, which isn't bad for a pizza place.

Despite the restaurant being packed due to a baseball team celebrating their season, the staff was welcoming and accommodating. We each got a personal piece which was delicious! The staff was attentive throughout our visit despite a busy kitchen!
