River's Edge Coffee Company - Kalama

I grew up in Kalama, and I wish there had been places like this back then. It’s a cozy café that serves excellent coffee. I tried a breakfast sandwich and a caramel frappuccino, and both were delicious. The café is located on the other side of the freeway in the industrial district by the Columbia River. It’s easy to find with GPS. I definitely recommend it!

Please note that the ownership of this restaurant will change in the summer of 2023. The sandwiches and coffee are quite good, and there's a charming little gift shop as well. The outdoor seating area is lovely, featuring impressive granite tables. It's located right next to the train tracks, making it a fun experience for kids to watch the trains go by. Be sure to grab a sandwich; they're both fresh and a great value. The meat served is from the Boar's Head brand.

Really great sandwiches--love them. Lots of ice cream flavors and great pastries. Oh--the coffee is tasty as well. They seem to have a number of local products--jewelry, wood carved thingys, some clothes, western lamps (cowboys on lampshades) on consignment. I like this place--and the service is quite good.Food: 5/5

Nice location and vibe, but the girl filled my coffee to the rim and didn't put the lid on tight and I was wearing it on my white blouse. ?Service: 3/5
