Zum Wok - Kaiserslautern

We came here for a late lunch early dinner with my wife and our two kids, in the time we spend at this restaurant there was only us and an older couple in the whole place. But, none stope takeout orders, not sure why the food was mediocre at best. It made my wife upset that we did not like it as much as she had hope we would, or because We did not like it as her and two of her friends did. You have to try it for yourself. At the end of day is not a reoccurring stop for locals. And one time visit for me.

Just around the corner from the Saks parking garage and only steps down a cobblestone pedestrian walkway from the main platz (plaza) where you can get gelato and a beer; Subdued, elegant atmosphere with beautiful furnishings and unique tableware; Add very good service, and you can see why this has become a personal favorite. The menu offers surprise after surprise. Hankerin' for some Vietnamese summer rolls or a giant bowl of Vietnamese soup? No problem. Been a while since you've had some hot Thai ? You can get it here. Are you feeling a yen for some miso soup and sushi? You can find that, too, and it's as good as any in the city. My wife and I especially like it because when we're hungry for Asian, we're often hungry for DIFFERENT Asian, and we're always happy here.

The clock too advanced that eveneing to find any place still serving a hot meal... I stumbled of the "Zum Wok".Lucky me... as it turned out. The young lady of the service was not sure I realy wanted to order the 3 dishes plus sake and a Pils to quench my throat... yes, I was sure... and yes I was right and had choosen well.I will be back soon.

I have ordered take away from here one before. The food was ok, nothing special, but I was hungry and needed something quick to eat...I decided to try this restaurant again as it's only a few doors up from hotel I was staying at. I was invited to take a seat by the waitress. I found a table and sat and waited, 5...10..15 minutes. Finally after 20 minutes of waiting for someone to take my order, I gave it up and left. Mind you I was the only person in the restaurant!As I walked out the waitress and two cooks were seated in the front area of the restaurant, busy eating their lunch. They must have forgotten about me.Would never go back!

I have been very happy for many years to go to the wok, especially because of sushi! the employees are all very nice and fulfill them also like to wish extra. Unfortunately, in the course of the years the price has increased and they can no longer go as cheap as in my school time. for this there are now courts at a special price withte of the day. the restaurant is very central, eating is very tasty and they never have to wait long, so I can recommend the restaurant in any case!
