Contribuiți la feedbackGeneral/Ambiente If you are looking for a shopping trip through the city centre of Kaiserslauter, who is hungry for a good lunch table, the house of the witch is well removed. The restaurant is located on the 1st floor of a multi-storey corner of Paris – and Mühlstraße. The inn has been in family possession since 1832, black white photographs remind of the “good old time” only due to the destruction in the 2nd. World War of the “old” house witch baker has remained nothing, sober 50s flair has since the harmonious Shutter architecture of the 19th century replaced the century. Not so the interior, here you feel displaced for decades, lots of wood on ceilings and walls, 70s seats under fabric covered hanging lamps create a cozy, cozy, “dusty” atmosphere – I like it. Service The service is very functional and easily accessible. Two older ladies and a middle-aged gentleman changed when ordering and serving, all very friendly and attentive. Food The petty-bourgeois offer is manageable and can be baked with cheese at prices of 7,80 € for cauliflowers on ham and potatoes to the Rumpsteak pee with roast potatoes and salad for 16,80 €. A daily soup is served to all dishes. When I looked at the slopes at the entrance to the village, I was looking forward to the armored Kotelette, but unfortunately it was already forgotten how the day soup – a pity. Maybe around 13h15 I was just a little late, the audience in the well visited “Hexenbäcker”, mostly like the service crew seniors around 65 plus, seems to appreciate early lunch as aftercomers literally “in the tube” at certain dishes. Instead of Kotelette I chose the table top with horse sauce, cranberries, potatoes and salad at €12.80 and got a dessert as a soup substitute. A few minutes after the order pick-up, the small side salad, consisting of crispy leaf salad, freshly sprinkled carrots and radishes, came with a slightly sweet vinegar oil dressing. After a pleasant waiting period, the table top was served on a preheated plate, two about 1 cm thick slices of fresh beef, with a balanced ideal fat content, which is important for good successes – absolutely perfect, beautifully juicy and buttery, just a shame that the horseradish sauce caused a little “harmless” no nasal crowns and thus did not create a sharp contrast to the cranberries. I also missed fresh herbs on salads and potatoes instead of Dill Co from the can. Nevertheless, I was very satisfied and rated the food overall with good 4 stars. Even dessert, a chocolate sauce with a foamy vanilla sauce, was very delicious, even without love. As a companion for dinner, I chose a well-deserved wine choir, served in the traditional 0.5l Pfälzer Dubbeglas at €2.30. Haus Hexenbäcker is not only restaurant, but also wine bar and offers its guests an attractive selection of Pfalz Schankweine from the Four Seasons wine cooperative. Conclusion: good grounded cuisine paired with peeling hospitality
Class ...
Familiär und lecker, als alleinreisende Frau fühlte ich mich sehr wohl. Schön ist auch der abgetrennte Raucherbereich
Gute Hausmannskost
Let's always go to dinner.
