Kalapawai Market Kailua Beach

I loved the avocado toast for breakfast! It wasn't that big but perfect size for me after sunrise hike: coffee is also great! moved to Kailua and will visit more often!

This place has been open since 1932, which is very impressive. It is a market and they also have a deli in the back where they serve sandwiches, tacos and other cooked foods. The location is perfect as the location on Kailua Beach, you can enjoy a few foods and drinks and drive to the beach. They also have an outdoor seating area with a limited seating area where you can eat. This place is too expensive, but convenient.

Stop here after the Lanikai Pillbox hike (Pro tip: parking on the first beach and go to the hiking entrance). Anyway, we were hungry afterwards, so we went from the beach parking lot here over the way through the park. Ordered the fresh fishing package, the chicken/bean soaking sandwich and some drinks. The sourdough bread was phenomenal and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The selection of drinks and snacks was super neat and also more fun/local choices than mainstream manufacturers. Everything was so favorable, given the location and convenience of this place to the beach, and there were 3 small picnic tables on the side of the building if you are too hungry to make it back to the beach. We will try again, more pages and maybe breakfast. The purple potato side keel looked enthusiastic.

Hide in sight! In the back... super fresh and delish! We had a turkey cranberry sandwich, a darkened fresh fishing package (Swordfish Today), a pasta salad section and a hummus vieggie wrap. Would definitely go back! Also had an ingenious, made to order, grilled burgers and great grilled hot dog from the on-profit pop outside. All sooooooo good wine at the bottle, cold drink and beer for sale in cans and bottles. Beautiful small market... more than meets the eye safe

Kalapawai Market is a wonderful local market on the North Shore Oahu. The market sells about anything you may need or want, a fixture in the local community for years!
