Contribuiți la feedbackThis location certainly has most body products and many environmentally friendly knickknacks like a little bambus cute for $2 that I appreciate. this location is also great if you want to go around kailua and see some cute shops nearby. updated by the previous review on 2021-06-19
I arrived at the restaurant and decided to stay for a meal. It's a self-service buffet where you pay by weight. You can definitely spend a lot if you’re not careful, but the food is excellent. I brought some vegan donuts and a papaya to enjoy with my vegan lasagna and enchilada. I also tried the purple sweet potato salad, which is one of my favorites! I had first tried it at PCC.
There’s a paradise, and then there’s “Down to Earth.” In this paradise, chickens roam freely, and at Down to Earth, they’re fed the leftovers from diners. I felt bad for the chickens, as I had no food for them; I decided to savor my meal instead. The dishes were simply too delicious and too pricey to share with the chickens. I ordered lasagna, musubi, a burger, pizza, and everything I could see in the pictures. The vegan pizza from Whole Foods was definitely better. Maybe I just wasn’t a fan of the cauliflower crust. The breakfast was a bit too dry for my taste. Other than that, I would give 5 stars for everything else.
This newer, shinier location has a more down-to-earth vibe compared to the one on King Street. It's conveniently located just a block away from Whole Foods, and honestly, it's a better option since it's entirely vegetarian. I've visited a few times and generally enjoyed my experience. However, today I ordered an avocado sandwich and was quite disappointed with it. The quality and taste were lacking; the avocado was bland and slightly brown, while the tomatoes were also tasteless and lacked color. The worst part was the overwhelming amount of scavenger they put on the sandwich, making it really difficult to eat. On a positive note, the vegan mac salad was an improvement over the Waikiki location. I think I’ll stick to the food department here in the future. I love this place and their new Kailua location is so convenient has a huge sitting space with free WiFi. Store is always clean and staff are helpful. The buffet has a great rotating selection (try the purple potato salad omg) and pretty good bakery selection. On the cheaper end my lunches there usually cost $8 10 and it’s nice to take it away to eat on the beach. Large natural pharmacy/apothecary section with vitamins and other supplements (helped to ease my flu). Go here, not Whole Foods!
