Mrs. Barry's Kona Cookies - Kailua-Kona

We had a great experience at the restaurant, with Mrs. Barry's daughter-in-law providing excellent service and delicious cookies. My favorite was the coffee chocolate chip cookie, but all of the samples were tasty.

The cookies are soft and bursting with natural flavors. Although they may be a bit expensive, they are definitely worth trying. They offer a delicious and healthy treat.

We visited this restaurant one morning and jokingly ordered "breakfast cookies". On our way back to the car, we tried a Coconut Shortbread cookie and were blown away by how delicious it was! The cookies were perfectly crisp and melted in our mouths. We couldn't resist sampling the rest of the bag and ended up going back two more times before leaving. We were initially unsure if this place was a retail shop, as it was located in an industrial area at the bottom of the hill near Costco, but it's the real deal. They have a nice retail location and when we visited in January 2022, they were only allowing 6 customers in at a time due to Covid restrictions. We highly recommend this place, especially for travelers going to or from the airport. My personal favorites were the Coconut Shortbread and Mac Nut Chocolate Dipped cookies. The chocolate dipped cookie might be a bit too sweet for some people, but it was still amazing. Thank you, Mrs. Barry, we hope to visit again soon!

Despite being located in an industrial part of the city below Costco, this place was a hidden gem. They have a lovely dining area and were only allowing six customers at a time due to COVID restrictions when we visited in January 2022. We highly recommend this place for its perfect location for visitors heading to or from the airport. My favorite cookies were the coconut shortbread and macadamia nut chocolate dipped. The chocolate dipped cookies may be a bit too sweet for some people, but they were still amazing. We want to thank Mrs. Barry for her delicious cookies and hope to visit again soon.

I visited Mrs. Barry's Cookies to purchase two large boxes of shortbread, with 18 cookies in each box, to mail. However, the store only had small boxes available and the woman working at the counter refused to package them for me. I was shocked by her rudeness. I used to be a regular customer of Mrs. Barry when they were located in the Cona building, but after this experience, I will never return to the store again. It's a disappointing end to what used to be a pleasant shopping experience.
