Cool Runnings Catering - Kailua-Kona

Hawaii is known for its food trucks. So I like to try them when I can. I tried Cool Runnings because of the strong ratings on Google. While the Jerk Thursday special was a good value, it wasn't a five star experience. The pork was very good but the currypotatoes were so-so and the cornbread that others rave about was average this afternoon. Also, there is no window on the sidefrom which you order and pay. I wandered around the truck a bit calling hello until I got a response. I ordered, got my food andpaid through a net screen in the back of the truck. Again, good value (the special anyway) if you're nearby. Not sure if it'sworth driving too far for.

For Jamaican food. It's not there it lacks the authenticity and flavor. I'm speaking as a Jamaican born and raised there. The Jamaican side of his menu is way off patty was horrible. I ordered oxtail and rice and peas. Show this pic to antjamaican.Jamaican. ask them for their opinion.

Had the jerk chicken sandwich, the bread doesn?t hold up well, so eat it quick, but the flavor was to die for! We also got the seafood salad with fried fish. It was very fresh and extremely tasty. This is the best food I?ve had on the big island so far!

Delicious food! Wish there was more area to sit and eat and an easier way to order in person.

This food tasted so good that I didn't even wait to take a photo before I ate it. This is definitely one of the best restaurants I've ever had. I got the bacon wrapped ribs with pumpkin cornbread and baby bok choy and it is so good. I could eat thiseveryday.
