Sammy's Beach Bar Grill - Kahului

We're currently at Maui Airport, waiting for our United Airlines flight. Our original plane to LAX has been delayed by two hours. The next flight is scheduled to arrive and be ready for boarding in about an hour (it’s now 100 minutes). In the meantime, we received food vouchers, so we decided to stop at Sammy's. Please note that alcohol is not included with the vouchers. We ordered the Beach Nachos with Chicken and the Grilled Ono Sammywich with Fries, and both dishes were quite delicious. To place an order, you simply scan a QR code, pay through the app, and then your food is brought out to you.

Loco Moco was good. Shrimp salad was so so. The staffs were busy but very friendly. You can seat yourselves, scan the bar code to order food and pay. If it doesn’t work out, the staffs will help.

We’ve eaten here 3 times in the last 16 months, including today for lunch, and we like it a lot, especially for airport food. Yes, it’s not cheap, but Maui and airports are rarely cheap. My wife and I both had the Cuban sandwich, and it was very tasty. Good cocktails too.

Amazing! It doesn’t take long to write a negative review. It does take time to spare a moment from your life to write a positive one. Probably the best food I tried on the island. And in general. I ordered shrimp tacos (first time ever) and they were amazing! Juicy and fresh bust didn’t stink like an ocean. And the waiter! Louella such a darling. I ordered a drink and when it arrived it wasn’t the one that I thought I am getting. She changed it with no problem! 10/5 would recommend! Stop here on your flight in or out and your vacation will be on the next level!

Finally Maui is living up to it's reputation of being a great service oriented experience. As with almost all my reviews, it's the staff who make or break the customer service experience. From being greeted at the door, to being seated and serving our meal, we were impressed on all fronts. The staff were simply amazing .. so friendly, informative and helpful. If ever you find yourself in Maui airport, this is a place you should definitely checkout. They have surfboards on the ceiling of the bar! Highly recommend!
