A sweet little jewel of a restaurant. If you have time, the cook cuts and prepares your tonate freshly before you. Excellent beginning of our time in Kagoshima. It is worth going right past the restaurants in the shopping center and the railway station.

Excellent black pork and nice service. All articles are cheap and a very good taste of the Kagoshima dishes.

Best tonkatsu I ever had, the panko is so good and crispy and the black pork meat is juicy and so flavorful. Definitively worth a go. Right after you order (no English menu), the chef prepares it in front of you, which is pretty cool and a good way to know it’s fresh and homemade. Only flaw is the chef, he’s probably the most unfriendly Japanese I’ve met from my 3 trips in Japan!
