Mariscos El Velero De Ensenada

Wow what a gem of a find! The place is kind of in the back side of the plaza so drive slowly. The restaurant is small and pretty tight inside, however, the FOOD is why we are here. First, I want to mention that the service was so great and the owner gave my husband and I each one whole fish tostada to try each while we were waiting for our Togo order! What an amazing start to our first experience! My husband and I ordered their shrimp cocktail and one fish taco. The shrimp cocktail was so fresh and the seasoning that was used made the flavor bursting with savory goodness! It was so refreshing and addicting! Perfect to help cool you down during a warm day. We also ordered their fish taco and it was one of the best ones I have tried in this area so far. So fresh, crisp and flavorful! The batter wasn't too think but yet had a very good crunch to it! Amazing and must try!! Yummy!

45 min wait. Not a lot of people but service is very slow. Food is bland. Fish is dry. Salsas have taste or no kick. No bueno. Would never return

A HIDDEN GEM IN MIRA LOMA AND A MUST TRY!WOW! All I gotta say is WOW! No really, their mariscos are top quality and you can taste it. Came by after craving battered shrimp tacos. I ordered a combo of shrimp tacos and an order of 2 fish tacos as well. I wasn't looking for a big meal, more so like a little appetizer to dip my toes in and thennn come back to get a real meal but to my surprise my tacos were hefty and so yummy!They put a lot of love and effort into everything they make here. Everything is made fresh, and they make that clear in their signs inside. Expect a short wait because of that but I promise it's worth it!Martin, the owner, saw it was our first time visiting and offered us a shrimp and clam ceviche tostada to try while we waited for our food. All I gotta say is, I inhaled that tostada. It was SO good. We came by after having a bad experience at another restaurant and we were so appreciative of the caring customer service Martin gave us while there. We will definitely be back.

Place was so small and way in the back of the address, but it had a cool lil vibe. We had just driven home that Sunday morning from Las Vegas and drove home quick and was looking for Fish Tacos. We couldn't have found a better Taco spot Ensenada style. The tacos were Super big and had so much flavor in them. We took our food home and totally devoured all our food.

A cozy and quaint place. The food really reminded me of those I ate in Ensenada.
