Despite the line, it moved fairly quickly (especially compared to Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle, haha), and both of the Teochew uncles were very friendly with their service (so remember to be nice to them!). The rojak was excellent, with the fritters perfectly toasted, and the sauce was neither too thick nor too thin—it was well balanced.
I enjoyed the rojak, which cost $3.50, plus an additional $1.40 for the century egg. Everything was great—the youtiao was firm but not hard, the sauce was rich, and the ingredients were fresh. The century egg was served cold since it had been kept in the fridge. However, there was quite a bit of sugar in the dish. The service was friendly. The stall is located outside the 449 coffee shop, which is at the end of block 449, nearer to 321 Clementi Mall. The wait time for the queue during lunchtime on a weekday was about 5 to 10 minutes.
This was my first time trying their rojak, and despite the long line at their stall, I decided to give it a shot—and I'm so glad I did! Just as others have said, their rojak is truly the best I've ever had. The sauce is unlike any I've tried before. What I really appreciate is how the two brothers collaborate seamlessly. You can really feel their passion for what they do, especially from the uncle who prepares the rojak. When love is infused into the food, it truly enhances the flavor. I will definitely be back for more!
This is a classic, old-school rojak stall that perfectly captures a nostalgic atmosphere! While the rojak isn't extraordinary, it's definitely not bad—just a solid Chinese rojak experience. Plus, the brothers who run the stall are incredibly polite and a delight to interact with!
