La Couronne - Jougne

DELICIOUS SUPPER after a long drive- MUCH appreciated. Many Thanks. Only one night but HIGHLY recommend. Very comfy beds, quiet and glorious countryside around.

We often pass through Jougne on our way to Italy. While starting to look for a hotel close to the Swiss border on the French side, we got the last room available. The room was a three bedroom suite, with a matrimonial bed on the front side of the hotel and a single bed at the rear. The hotel has a nice garden. The restaurant was fully booked, so we had to eat elsewhere.

We stopped at around eight o’clock last Wednesday evening for dinner at this hotel which we last visited a few years ago. We enjoyed a very good meal and an excellent bottle of wine served with efficiency and friendliness on the pretty terrace behind the hotel. A REVIEW OF THIS HOTEL posted yesterday was meant for a hotel in REIMS and was made in error. Sorry for any confusion!

This restaurant was fantastic. You couldn't ask for better in the price range, which was very reasonable. For the most part the menu is laid out as a Table d'hôte. The food is extraordinary, local specialties, and wonderful service.

Great service and plenty of space between the tables, with tasteful decor. Excellent local fare and beautifully cooked and presented, with a great choice of wines- and the prices were very reasonable for the brilliant quality. We will definitely go back as soon as we are in the area again.
